The problem with many Biogas installations is:

  • Semi-liquid manure has approx. 33% efficiency only
  • The more Ammonia in the manure, the bigger installation needed
  • Only 40% is converted into power - the rest is heat

The Agroplast concept not only eliminates the above problems, but add further advantages:

  • The supplied waste product (fecal) is dry, clean and odorless
  • With a Biogas plant situated close to the fecal supplier, eventually surplus heat is used for the urea plastic production

What is AgroBlue/AdGreen?

AgroBlue/AdGreen is the ultimate answer on optimal emission cleaning for all sorts of diesel engines.

AgroBlue/AdGreen is a solution of urea in water (32,5%) used as a fluid in the latest generation of diesel-powered Trucks.

AgroBlue/AdGreen is contained in a separate tank to the fuel and is sprayed into the exhaust gases. Therefore, it is never mixed or added to the fuel - which simplify its use.  AgroBlue/Green is not a fuel additive. AgroBlue/AdGreen is developed from animal waste and not from fossil sources.

How does AgroBlue/AdGreen Work?

AgroBlue/AdGreen is stored in a separate tank on the vehicle. It is precisely metered into the hot exhaust manifold where the urea solution breaks-down into Ammonia and reacts with exhaust gasses in the presence of a catalytic converter.

The oxides of nitrogen formed at combustion are converted into harmless elementary nitrogen and water. This method is called Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR).  The usage of AgroBlue/AdGreen lies at 3 to 5% of the diesel usage.

All trucks & buses registered in the European Union after October 2006 must be EURO4 or EURO5 compliant and most will require products like AgroBlue/AdGreen.
